The North Cotswold U3A hold a number of special events to mark the passing year.

In the months of June, July and August for example, with many of our members on holiday, Open meetings are suspended and many of our groups take a break.  To fill the gap in the program, and to maintain contact with members, the NCU3A hold a summer event which may take the form of a soiree, boat trip or a visit by coach to a nearby place of interest.

This year our Summer Soiree will take place on Wednesday 7th July at Guiting Power Village Hall.  Admission is £10 which will include a two course supper and a glass of wine.  Tickets are available from either Paul Chitty or Phyllis Andrews

Our Annual General Meeting will be held on October 14th at Willersey Village Hall.  It precedes the October Open Meeting.  It is at this meeting that we elect our committee members for the coming year and to discuss matters of interest to the membership.  The AGM is usually a short affair and as soon as it is finished the doors are flung open to the public for our usual Open Meeting with a presentation by a speaker on a topic of local interest.

In November the Committee bring the Group Leaders together for a conference.  At this conference, Leaders are invited to present their views on how the North Cotswold U3A may be improved and to pool ideas on how groups are run.

The final event of the year takes the form of a Winter Warmer.  Naturally this event celebrates both Christmas and New Year with seasonal fare and entertainment.  Much of the talent that exists in the North Cotswold U3A is on display at this event with performances by our singers, dancers, poets and musicians.  And it wouldn't be a Winter Warmer without mince pies and Christmas cake, all provided by our Cookery Groups.  A date for this year's event has not been fixed.  So look out for more details on the Website or the Newsletter.
